We are working in Japan as missionaries.
Our ministry name has the meaning to preach the gospel to 99% of the Japanese.
In Japan we have lees then 1%
Christians.
Japan is at the top 2 of the unreached Countries.
Almost same as the Bangladesh
Fortunately we don’t have strict-ions about preaching the gospel in Japan. But in reality, the gospel is being spread yet…
However, on the other side of history story means we have 99% of opportunity to preach the gospel.
God gave us the knowledge, and gave us so many tools, meaning we have so many ways to do and have a possibility of reaching 99%.
We are focused on using the tool called “music” and God showed us to preach the gospel through music, and now is beginning.

Our progress
Encounter in Okinawa
Before we met, we were doing what God called us to during that season. During 2023, as Shoma was taking the discipleship school in YWAM Okinawa
They met.
Shoma received from God the calling of “go to the world and preach the gospel using your gifts.” He started his ministry making music and using it as a tool of reaching out and preaching the gospel to the people.
Alignment of vision
In the beginning Shoma was doing his music ministry on his own. But as shoma and Joel got closer they saw that their visions were the same. And as 1 year passed by, they started doing the music ministry together.
We have a passion to preach the gospel to the people who are not from the church and don’t know anything about God, we had an alignment of making a contemporary songs and preaching the gospel using this genre.

Why J-pop?
In the context of Japan’s song popularity the western country songs are not popular in Japan.
At the secular Japanese song the anime song, are one of the most listened by the Japanese, even on Japan’s Spotify top 50 songs, the majority of it are anime songs and j-pop songs.
The reason of that, they are more familiar and prefer listening to the Japanese language, and Japanese sound.
As you can see their tendency when they even have interview through sns’ J-POP and anime songs are the most told.
Through the genres as anime songs and J-POP we are going to make worship songs.

Strategic Sound Creation
In the platforms such as Spotify and iTunes, their daily playlists are made according to their user and algorithm. （Based on Spotify website. ）
For example, if the listeners has a specific request preferred genre,such as artists A songs
According to their algorithm the AI will make a recommendation of a playlist of artist A
One of the important features are how much the was listened, and listeners.
There are a few speculations, but as the number of listeners/plays are higher, the AI recommends it to other listeners who likes listening to that specific genre. As result they get more listeners and plays.
As strategy making songs in genre such as J-POP and anime songs. We are going to get more people to listen to our songs, and as they listen, according to their preferences, our sounds will be listed to their recommended playlists.
As our songs become listed people will get to know about our songs and through the songs we will have a possibility of preaching the gospel to a huge number of people.
To explain in a few words, we get to have chance to preach the gospel to more people outside of the church.

The result of the Harvest
In our ministry We could preach the gospel outside the church and we have been reaching the normal people through Spotify and iTunes.
In reality our songs have been listed to a non-Christian playlists. We could reach to the people who Don’t know about God and even into secular artists. And we the great chance of preaching the gospel through it.

Result
Our songs were used by a post on instagram by a non Christian. A secular hiphop artist also used our songs.
We would even receive messages from a nonbelievers saying: “sheep song are amazing!” And later on she could know about the gospel through the lyrics.
Even another person messaged us, saying” sheep song is a nice naming sense” he got interested about it. And then he asked “ but what does this lyrics mean ?”
We got an opportunity of preaching the gospel and connecting to him too.
Another listener messaged us
She just got saved, and told us about her faith being hard to keep because there were no believers at the same age as hers
But suddenly as the sheep song was played, she couldn’t stop crying and said thank you very much.

Reasons for equipment update
Album Creation
The reason why we got into making an album is because, we are seeing many salvations happening around us, and we desire from our heart to give all the Glory to God alone.
And as God responded to our desire he gave us the vision of “give to the Japanese a fragrance of the gospel (goodnews) to everyone through music”
This ministry is focusing on preaching the gospel using the platforms like Spotify and iTunes as the streaming platforms and give to the listeners the gospel.
“So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

1.Birth of a new category:
Japanese Christian music
From now on, worship songs will be spread in between the secular music, we believe that, in the streaming platforms in Japan, will be a category called : Japanese Christian Music.
Moovent of Christian Music
We are not just planning to do something new, or to become famous, our vision is not that easy, but through the vision we received from God, we want to support the new Christian Artists and preach the gospel Through music to those who doesn’t know God, and we will affect their life into the Japanese music platforms.
And then, the Lord is guiding to us to preach with boldness into this platforms.

The worship songs are not going over the boundaries of church, and because of that this is one of the reason why gospel has no being spread.

Envisioning in Long-terms
We have the conviction that we are in a season of planting the seeds. And this seeds that will be planted, will grow and become a fruit, as it grows the next generation shall harvest as the legacy is being inherited.
「I planted, Apollos watered, but God gave the growth. So neither he who plants nor he who waters is anything, but only God who gives the growth. He who plants and he who waters are one, and each will receive his wages according to his labor.」

When it comes in terms of planting the seeds It’s important to prepare the land for the great harvest in a future. For that we need to prepare the land. As the fruit grows, and the fruits get ready for the harvest, it’s really important to prepare the land for the next generations. And as we leave and repeat the process of leaving the legacy and inheriting to next generations, from now if we look to the next 10, 20, 30 years. It will not end in our generation, but as is kept inherited, our gold is to establish a prepared land for preaching and spreading the gospel for the next generations.

Also we see the need of preparing the next generation to be able to discern on which season they are. Are we in season of planting the seeds or are we in the harvest season.

Japan’s population number is
Around 124 million people and is ranking in the 12th most population in the world, and at the same time, Japan is ranked in 2nd place where the gospel is not reached in the world.
We believe there is an urgency of preaching the gospel, but also a great harvest.
However, in reality we lack of workers. We are using our social media’s to preach the gospel to many people, not just doing and making songs by ourselves, but working with people who wants to save Japan and has a great passion for this nation, and revealing Jesus Glory.
We are ready to be the sower, but expecting that as the water flows from the river, the gospel shall be flowing into Japan, and there will be a Japanese Christian song into the ranking of the music streaming.
「Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the laborers are few; therefore pray earnestly to the Lord of the harvest to send out laborers into his harvest.”」

In order to spread the gospel through our music ministry, we need to devote a lot of time to God on a long-term basis, and we cannot proceed without your financial support.
In fact, we are running into a major financial hurdle, as the cost of CD and music production and visiting local churches has grown beyond our expectations, requiring 1.50 million yen for the ministry.
We need your support to carry out this vision from God.
We met in Okinawa where it all started.
And I want to see this vision given by God fulfilled in Japan.
